About Us

Restoring dignity. Empowering women. Protecting children.

Our Story

Divinely Connected Women (DCW) is a women empowerment social enterprise duly registered as a Community Based Organization in Nakuru County within the Republic of Kenya.

We are an unapologetically Christian entity whose main purpose for existence is the well-being and wholesome prosperity of underprivileged widows, single mothers, vulnerable girls and orphans.

The Divinely Connected Women (DCW) was conceptualized in the year 2021 just after the global effect of the Covid-19 pandemic and the aftermath. DCW started at a Ladies Fellowship which was held every week for prayers, encouragement and supporting each other as people were struggling to get back to normal life due to the adverse socioeconomic setbacks brought about by business shut downs, travel curfews, sicknesses and deaths due to the corona effect.

This humble entity that began with five women at a house has grown to a membership of more than ninety women who hold regular prayer meetings, support each other both spiritually and economically, and also invite guest speakers and preachers to inspire them during their periodic activities, meetings and events. Widows have been helped, single mothers empowered, orphans educated and needy households supported materially because of this noble initiative.

Rev. Lonar’s faith and leadership is inspired by the holy scriptures

paraphrased from the Book of Exodus 16;3-8, “And ye shall know that it is

the LORD who gives you meat for your meal in the evening and your fill of

bread in the morning because He has heard your complaints!”

This is the mantra that keeps the Divinely Connected Women (DCW) organization moving forward from day to day until that Day for the glory of God Almighty!

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Rev. Lonar Akoth Aloo

Rev. Lonar Akoth Aloo was born and raised in Nakuru Town and began serving in ministry at the young age of twelve as a praise and worship vocalist. Her passion for serving God and uplifting others quickly grew, leading her to found a youth music group and later expand into full-time pastoral ministry. Over the years, she has served faithfully in various ministries, earned diplomas in Pastoral Studies and Theology, and developed into a respected spiritual leader. Today, she serves as Senior Pastor at Mountain of Worship Center (LWTC) in Kaptembwo, Nakuru, while also holding key leadership roles within pastors’ associations that impact hundreds of church leaders across the region. Together with her husband and their three daughters, she continues to model faith, service, and dedication both in ministry and family life.

Rev. Lonar’s passion for empowering underprivileged women is deeply personal. Having witnessed her mother courageously raise nine children after being widowed, she carries a lifelong commitment to supporting widows and vulnerable families. Inspired by strong women mentors in ministry, she envisions a future where women leaders are equipped, confident, and actively transforming their communities.

Her dream is to see Divinely Connected Women raise a generation of empowered female leaders who will start initiatives of their own and extend hope to countless lives. As she often says, “There is never time — we create it when the assignment truly matters.”
